Privacy Policy at Israel Post

Israel Postal Company (Hereinafter: “The Company”) respects the privacy of users of the websites it manages and operates (Hereinafter known as “Israel Post websites” or “The Websites” and adopt a privacy policy of the Privacy Protection Council. Following the Company’s decision to publish its policy on privacy protection on websites, it undertakes its compliance with this policy to users.

This privacy policy is worded in masculine form for convenience purposes only and covers both sexes. The policy aims to explain the Company’s practices with regards to user privacy on its website, and how the Company uses information provided to it by users of the Website or that it compiled during use of the website.

Some Israel Postal website services requires registration. As part of the registration, you will be required to disclose personal information such as your name, address, telephone number, email address or credit card details in your possession. This information is information that you are knowingly disclosing during the registration to the websites or services provided therein and/or through them. The mandatory fields must be fed the details and they will be explicitly marked. It is clarified that you are under no legal obligation to disclose said information. Israel Postal will not send to third parties your personal details and information compiled about your activities on the website, insofar as the details and information personally identify you except under the following circumstances:

  • If the company is legally obligated to disclose your details or information about you to a third party, or if the Company receives a judicial order instructing it to disclose your details or information about you as specified.
  • During the purchase of products and services from commercial partners and content of the Israel Postal Company, or if you participate in the content activity of a third party, or in joint activities of the Israel Postal Company and a third party displayed on Israel Postal websites. Under these circumstances, the partners will be sent information they require to complete the purchase process, management of relevant content activity and maintenance of contact with you.
  • If you violate and/or attempt to violate the terms of use of the Company’s websites and/or any of the services offered therein, or if you operate the Company websites and/or with regards to them and their activity in violation of the law.
  • Any dispute, allegation, claim, demand or legal proceedings, if any, between you and the Israel Postal Company.
  • If the Israel Postal Company believes that disclosure of the information is necessary to prevent significant harm to you or to another party.

 

If Israel Postal Company organizes its activities or the activity of the websites in the Company or another corporation – and if it merges with another person or will merge the activity of the websites with the activities of a third party – it will be entitled to transfer to the new Company or Corporation a copy of the information retained about you on the websites or any statistical information it has, pursuant to said company or corporation accepting the provisions of this privacy policy.

The Israel Postal Company websites use Cookies for the regular and functioning operation, including to compile statistical data about use of the websites, to verify details, to adapt the websites to your personal preferences and for information security purposes.
